How to Book a Date and Location for the IELTS Exam?
As the dates of the IELTS exam are announced much earlier, prospective candidates must book their desired date in advance. They can choose from the 48 available slots for their exams.
These are the steps you can follow to book your desired exam date online.
- Go to the IELTS IDP website, and register yourself.
- Select the preferred test (paper-based or computer-based) from the drop-down option.
- Choose a test centre nearest to your location.
- Finalise the date and time slot as per your preferences.
- Fill in the required details and complete the registration process.
- Upload a clear scanned copy of your passport image.
- Pay the registration fees at the end.
There is also an offline registration process for IELTS. You can either download the application form online or fill it in at the IDP offices and then submit the same.
In the offline method, payment can be made via any credit or debit card, demand draft or ICICI bank deposit slips.
After the whole process is complete, you will receive a confirmation in your email.
What is the Process of Rescheduling the IELTS Exam?
It is possible for the applicants to change or reschedule their dates of IELTS exam. However, there are certain rules one needs to follow.
- Rescheduling can only be requested through email and not by any phone calls.
- Those who reschedule the exam date five weeks before the actual exam get a refund only after deducting the administrative charges.
- The entire registration fees are charged if anyone requests to reschedule within the five weeks of the IELTS exam.
How to Cancel the IELTS Registration?
If any candidate wants to not appear for the IELTS exam, they can always choose to cancel their application.
Nevertheless, the cancellation time depends on the type of test.
- Aspirants, who have applied for the paper-based exam, have a cancellation window of five weeks prior to the official date of the exam.
- Those who applied for the computer-based exam can cancel the application three weeks before the final exam date.
You must note that the IDP will charge an administration fee before refunding the amount. The sum will be refunded back to your bank account used for paying the application fees. Applicants who paid online will get the amount through NEFT.
